About Secret Still

I'm Brad. I live in the Bay Area. I started writing about art a couple of years ago, because I was bored and obsessed. I didn't really tell anyone, but some people found out anyway. Then Ert hired me on to write for Juxtapoz.com. We had a ball. Then we got laid off. I went back to writing for no one. I went back to writing for myself. That blog, Days of Danger, grew into this: Secret Still.

So why do I do this? Simple: Beauty. I have an ongoing, life-crippling love of beauty in all its forms. Everyday when I wake up I put my feet on the floor so that at some point during my day I can be a part of something beautiful. I haven't failed yet. I'm not talking about esoteric beauty either, something high minded and unreachable by anyone outside of academia. This isn't about a plastic bag in the wind. I just want to show people the things that I find amazing, and confusing, and soft, and personal. I don't want anyone to miss out on the wonder of Being on my watch. Whatever I do here, it's about beauty.
