Dan Witz, previously mentioned in these very pages, just recently had a new show open at Stolen Space Gallery. The show’s been hyped for a couple of months now and judging from the photos that Juxtapoz has of the opening the hype is to be believed. It’s not that his paintings are realistic, a lot of artists use realism; it’s that his paintings are like photographs. They seem to have caught a moment of action rather than being a composition carefully put together by the artist. For all I know he just paints photos that he takes. Either way I still like his work.
