Dordles

Nik Daum, like a great many of us, has a really boring job. Unlike most of us he used his down time to create something amazing rather than googling odd word combinations. I’ll let him tell you:

Dordles (not quite drawings/not quite doodles) are the spiritual successor to my office sketches. Each mark of lacerating genius is thoughtfully recorded in the margins of advertising briefs, discarded printouts, or the company stationary. The turds are then scanned, colored, composed and polished on computer. Hopefully, this preserves the playfulness and stupidity of the drawings while giving a bit more depth. Idle hands are the dordles’ playthings, crafted from inspiration found only through boredom and profound soul-crushing dissatisfaction. I hope these dordles provide you as much excitement as what drove me to draw them in the first place.
