Brooks Salzwedel

A few months back there was a local cafe that had some art hanging up that was basically some primary colors covered over with layers of resin. It made me want to rip my own eyes out and throw them at the walls in protest. I meditate a lot to quell those insitncts, and so I’m still among the seeing. Regardless, I thought that any art involving resin would be equally as terrible. Brooks Salzwedel slaps my preconceived notions right in the junk with some incredible pieces created by layering resin. Very subtle and beautiful woodscapes with a nice cloudy look that adds dreaminess. I’m all about some delicate dappling effects, that’s what a lot of people say about me. Check it out.
