UK artist John Slade is making my day brighter with his oddball illustrations. My favorites are the ones that don’t seem to have any point behind their creation (personal work is always the section I check out first in artists’ portfolios). I dig the simple pen lines, and the basic color palette. I would get his work tattooed on the palms of my hands and then shine a bright flashlight through from the back. That seems about ideal.
