A lot of you have probably seen the work of Oregonian Evan B. Harris before. It’s got a 2-D folk-art feel to it, but coupled with a love for the weird and the wild like a bastard child of Sailor Jerry and Grizzly Adams. Surprisingly, it makes me homesick, because I miss the hot pinewoods of the Southern forests I grew up in. I know, it’s a weird reaction to so much sea imagery, but the clarion call of manliness and the power of nature manifest themselves in strange ways. Harris’ work makes me want to beard up, get my knife, and go native for a while. He’s got a nice assortment of new work up for those of you who think you’ve seen it all before.
