I read about it somewhere and made a note to check it out later. Totally forgot. Then I saw it mentioned on Drawn! this morning and clicked double quick. Man, am I ever glad I did. I’m talking about a new project from artist Stuart Kolakovic (who I originally talked about so long ago that the article has disappeared) titled Never Been. It’s basically a flash interface that lets you move along a gargantuan mural that Kolakovic created. Following the path you get to be a part of the lives of several characters as they twist and turn through joys and sorrows. Go through the whole thing first and marvel at the story. Go through a second time and freak out at all the tiny details in every scene. And on the third pass you should try and take in the beauty of the style and grace with which Kolakovic creates. I won’t be posting about anything else today, because this one project is better than anything else I might find. Not to mention it should take you well over an hour to really enjoy it (I’m at 45 minutes right now). If you click nothing else today, click the link below. I actually said “wow” when I was finished. I think the last time that happened was at the end of No Country for Old Men, if that will give you any idea.
