Art I’ve been To

1
The time has come once again for me to do a long, not very interesting post of the crappy photos that I managed to take over the weekend. I spent most of my time at the Paper Pushers show at 1988. I did make it over to the Vans Lo Life show at Club Six, but it was really bright in there, and the whole place just sort of creeped me the fuck out. On Sunday I went to the Jeff Canham workshop at VASF, which was small enough to be personal. I can now add sign painting to the list of things I have no aptitude for. I won’t even bother showing you the craptastic results of my signage. And Sunday, well, I’ll let Sunday speak for itself. Check after the jump for the rest of the photos in all their mediocre glory.

Mcbess pencil drawing. Shit cost $1500! I mean, I fucking love dude’s work, but c’mon, Matt…$1500? For pencil and paper? For that price it had better have a built in blowjob machine made of gold and diamonds.

Dug this one hard.

4
I like the white accent. I am getting kind of sick of the fashion girl drawing style though.

5
Ok, not totally sick of it. What is that, coffee? Tea? Nice.

6
That’s more like it. The pink accent…so sweet.

7
There were three of these triptychs. A trio of triptychs. Badass triptychs on top of that. TRIPTYCH!

8
Told ya they were badass.

9
Tightness.

10
My favorite from the whole show. Nobody move or the fucking kid gets a Brazilian Necktie!

11
Why is Megaman picking his nose? Why not?

12
Jeff Canham preparing to school us. And Tara Foley’s face. Sorry Tara. Did you see Tara’s show at FFDG? That shit was tight. I put up crappy photos of it right here.

13
This is what I did on Sunday. Because I am just naturally awesome.

Even the Girl marvels at the awesomeness.

  2. Brad Says:

Julian Callos is the dude who made those. You can actually check out all of the art in the show individually at:
