There’s been a lot of colorful geometry in the art world for the last couple of years, and I have never gotten enough of it. I don’t know what it is about bright colors and shapes that get me, but I’m got. Adding to my math/color fetish, the paintings of David O’Brien also incorporate organic forms and a strange swirling motion. I even got a little dizzy from looking at them for too long. I consider that a win with artwork though. If your work can make me vomit and fall down, you have attained artistic mastery. Which is why I’m never allowed in the Louvre again.
